- Not to be confused with Battle at the Thundering Falls.
Ambush at the Thundering Falls is a set piece battle in Total War: Warhammer.
Despite the name, it is not an ambush battle.
A version of this battle was heavily featured in the pre-release promotional material for Total War: Warhammer. Footage of the battle was seen so often it became a meme in the Total War community. This is similar to the Battle at the Fallen Gates for Total War: Warhammer II.
Description
The King must make his way through the Underway, an area under the dominion of urks and grobi. Be wary of the side passages, for it stinks of an ambush, even if the Everpeak Aircorps is en route to offer support.
Opening Dialogue
"March on brave dawi, March on! To the cursed realms of the grobi we go. I know not what mischief they cause, but they are up to something for my beard itches with trouble. We take the underway. These ancient highways, built by dwarf hands give us the best chance of approaching swiftly, catching the greenskins unawares. Let us not dawdle, for there are grudges to settle and new entries in the dammaz kron to write!"
