Assassin! is a unique dilemma for the Dark Elves race introduced in Total War Warhammer II and part of the loyalty game mechanic.

This random chance dilemma can only be triggered once for a high loyalty lord and gives the player the choice between receiving the crafted Shroud of Death armour item in exchange for a minor lord loyalty loss and money payment, and a major bonus experience together with the permanent Assassin's End trait which provides minor enemy hero success chance and melee attack bonuses.

The name of the lord that triggered this event is displayed under the dilemma name.

He leaps at you, poisoned dagger clenched in his fist; with a graceful sweep of their blade, one of your Lords strikes at him, severing his outstretched arm. Guards quickly seize the would-be killer, but your Lord demands the honour of the kill.
