The Beastlords of the warherds are hairy, musclebound brutes possessed of a raw and savage might. They carry themselves with swaggering confidence, revelling in their own superiority over lesser beasts. Their thick, hairy skulls are crowned with magnificent sets of horns as sharp and hard as any blade, and their robust and heavily-thewed bodies are covered with scar tissue and crudely-rendered tattoos. The threat of violence is implicit in their every gesture. Upon the battlefield a Beastlord is a force of untold destruction, gouging and butchering with horn, blade and claw.
↑Armoured: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
↑Melee Expert: Melee Experts might have a very strong melee attack or melee defence, or high values in both. Some also have melee-focused skills like Charge Defence. Use them to counter other strong melee units. When facing them, it is best to take them out before they can enter melee.
Beastlords operate very similarly to Khazrak in multiplayer, they are good in niches for catching oppoonents off guard. Notably, they are cheaper than Khazrak which makes them slightly more viable. You will almost always want him on a chariot so he can cause chaos to enemy infantry while continuing to move around so they are not pinned down.
Horn of the First Beast is a great ability for Beastmen units that plays into their strengths. Useful for a coordinated attack onto a target or cluster of targets. Apocalyptic Vision is also good for boosting allied Leadership and attack as well.
