Dark Elves unit roster

Dark Elves have a really powerful selection of quick, armour-piercing infantry which make them the perfect counter to heavily armoured infantry armies. This also applies to their missile units, which sacrifice range in favour of damage dealing, but are also quite competent in close combat. At the same time, they have a wide range of strong monsters and access to several lores of magic with devastating damage dealing spells and debuffs. On the negative side, their lower tier cavalry is weak while the elite cavalry is slow and unreliable due to suffering rampage if they receive too much damage; they only have a single, mediocre piece of artillery; they are fairly fragile defensively; and while good offensively with magic, they lack access to healing spells.

Dark Elves require Total War: Warhammer II to be playable, with The Queen and the Crone DLC and The Shadow and the Blade DLC adding several units to their roster.
