Hollow-eyed murderers, the Doomfire Warlocks must loosen the grip of Slaanesh with the blood of others.

Doomfire Warlocks are a Dark Elves Dark Elves melee cavalry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer II with The Queen and the Crone.

Recruitment[ | ]

Description[ | ]

When Malekith first learned of the Prophecy of Demise, his initial wrathful blow fell against the Doomfire Warlocks of Hag Graef. Fearing their rebellion, the Witch King cursed them with hollowness, and their souls have teetered between the mortal world and the Realm of Chaos ever since. Thus, whilst other Elves fear Slaanesh as a potential fate, Doomfire Warlocks feel the Dark Prince's grasp on their souls grow with every passing day. As the grip tightens, dark runes blaze in to life on their flesh, an unholy fire that creeps slowly across the skin.

Doomfire Warlocks are very good because they come with two bound spells:

  • Wh2 main spell dark magic doombolt Lesser Doombolt - is good for direct damage against an enemy.
  • Wh main spell death soulblight Soulblight - is useful for debilitating an enemy.

Both can be useful, but should be used wisely, they can only cast their spells while above 50% health, so be careful to use their utility earlier rather than later.

Aside from their spells, they are good combatants with Modifier icon magical Magic and Modifier icon poison2 Poison damage as well as 40% Resistance physical Physical Resistance. Although their low Icon stat armour Armour and low Icon stat defence Melee Defence ensure they will not endure forever.

As the tool tip says they are also quite fast, so are useful for chasing off routing units and harassing. They can also be used as a support unit to your mobile wing, using Wh main spell death soulblight Soulblight and Modifier icon poison2 Poison to debuff an enemy while your Scourgerunners, Cold Ones or Dragons do the heavy fighting.

All in all a deadly fast moving unit that brings unique utility spells to the battlefield.
