Dragon Ogre Shaggoth are a Warriors of Chaos melee monster unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer. The Shaggoth tower over the common man, casting fearsome shadows matched only by the seismic devastation they cause.

Description[edit | edit source]

Dragon Ogre Shaggoth are living legends of carnage and devastation. As a Dragon Ogre ages, it becomes ever larger, growing stronger and more powerful. As long as it can find lightning to refresh its body and revitalise its mind, there is no limit to the size one can reach. The eldest and most primal of their kind are truly titanic beings, each a towering mountain of muscle and fury, reinforced by the power of the raging storm.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

  • Armour-Piercing: The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
  • Scaly Skin: Scaly skin or hides help to dampen or deflect the damage caused by missile weapons, increasing this unit's Missile Resistance.
  • Causes Terror: This unit can cause terror, making its melee target rout for a short time. Units that cause terror are immune to terror and fear themselves.
  • Very Fast: This unit can run circles around most other units, taunting and harrassing the enemy or evading its missile fire.
