Description[edit | edit source]
The finest Ellyrian steed, atop which Tyrion has single-handedly put verminous hordes to flight.
Lore[edit | edit source]
Malhandir is the best of all the steeds of Ulthuan, the last of the family of Korhandir, the father of horses. Malhandir was a gift from the Ellyrian Elves to Prince Tyrion as a sign of gratitude for the rescue of the Everqueen, moments before the Battle of Finuval Plain, since then it has been his mount.
Fast as the wind, strong and faithful to the death, Malhandir understands the elven language, although Tyrion rarely needs to issue any order, since between them there is an invisible bond. No other mount is capable of interpreting its desires in the same way at the slightest signs. Like all of its line, the prince of the horses possesses an acute intelligence that far exceeds that of the lesser beasts, and even eclipses that of many creatures that walk on two legs.
