The Peak Gate Guard are a renowned regiment of Dwarf Hammerers who protect the gates of Karak Norn.
All Karaks are defended with vigour, but none hold the line with as much determination as these hammer-wielding guards. They are equipped with lacquered, sapphire-tinted armour and wield mighty greathammers, superior even to those used by other Hammerers, that can sunder even the most durable of armours.
↑Armour-Piercing: The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
↑Armour-Sundering: The armour-splitting attacks of this unit can significantly weaken the target's armour.
↑Armoured: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
↑Damage Dealer: This unit has a strong emphasis on dealing damage. If fighting it, make sure to take it out before it can get into firing or melee range.
The Peak Gate Guard are one of the heaviest damage dealing units in the game. They have high melee defence and attack, crazy high leadership, and strong armour. On top of that, they sunder armour which makes them particularly well suited to armored units or other elite infantry. While they are best served in that role, they can do a hefty amount of damage to a large target as well if they can hold it in place. They also gain magic attacks which is relevant against units with physical resistance or other elite infantry like Phoenix Guard. These Dawi are a force to be reckoned with, although they come at a high cost and must be protected from missiles of the enemy.
