Description[ | ]

Razordons are a species of predatory reptile covered with an array of large hardened spikes made from bone that project menacingly. As a defensive protection, this razor-sharp body armour serves to deter all but the most determined of creatures, and even the most monstrous of Lustria’s many apex predators will think twice before attacking a Razordon. The Razordon’s spines are not only a deterrent, however, they are also a deadly offensive weapon. By way of powerful muscle spasms, their spines can be discharged, shooting outwards in a deadly hail.

  • Armour-Piercing: The damage of Modifier icon armour piercingarmour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
  • Aquatic: Where other units of small stature struggle to fight and move in shallow water, Aquatic units excel.
  • Primal Instincts: When under pressure, the primal instincts of these natural predators take over, improving their combat potential.

Strategy[ | ]

Razordons are effective against small numbers of large armored targets. Their short range is compensated by decent armor-piercing weapon melee attack and armor, though they should still be kept out of melee due to their low entity count. They also have a higher firing arc than other Lizardmen ranged units, allowing them to remain further in the backline and fire over allies and terrain on enemies that are beyond the frontline or on higher elevations.
