Overview[edit | edit source]

Red Cloud is a Greenskins faction introduced in Total War: Warhammer II in Potion of Speed Update.

It is ruled by Elbog Koor-Lobber and can be found in the south-eastern part of the map, east of Karak Azul and north of Court of Lybaras.

Background[edit | edit source]

The Red Cloud are a Goblin tribe located around Red Cloud Mountain.

In -750 IC the Red Cloud Goblins discovered a dwarf passage that linked Red Cloud Mountain and the Fire Mountains through which they attacked Karak Azul. They managed to occupy a part of the hold for ten years until they were weakened by infighting and the dwarfs fully reclaimed their hold.[1]

Vorag the Bloody, a Strigoi Ghoul King led his Ghouls against the Red Cloud tribe of Goblins. Those he did not kill were enslaved and forced to build a fortress, which still exists somewhere east of the Plain of Bones. Next, he turned his rag-tag army of carrion-eaters on the Grey Hag tribe. It was in battle against them that a missile launched from a bolt thrower pierced his heart and ended the reign of Vorag Bloodytooth. His fortress was forgotten and fell into ruin.[1] This fortress exists as the Fortress of Vorag and explains the Vampiric Corruption surrounding it.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Just as Goblins are widely varied, so too are their Shamans. Shamans exemplify the Goblin tribe to which they belong. For example, Shamans of the Red Cloud tribe ritually use their magics to turn themselves at least half red depending on the cycle of the moon.[2]
