Only orcs and goblins call Massif Orcal home, foul remnants of the once great hordes that had been scoured from the lands of Bretonnia during the founding of the kingdom. The ruined battlements of old watchtowers and keeps built long ago to guard against the threat of Greenskins sometimes loom into view, slowly crumbling away upon distant hilltops, forlorn reminders of a time when the goblins could still sometimes muster great armies to despoil the lands of Quenelles and Bastonne.
When playing as Karl Franz the Skullmasherz will be a continual threat after wiping out the Empire Secessionists. They frequently send full stacks of orcs to the mountain fort of Helmgart or further into Reikland if the player does not control the fort. They often send more than one stack in a turn so be prepared with an army nearby or fortify Ubersreik to have its special garrison.
When playing as other Lords in their vicinity they will also be a thorn in your side. For Bordeleaux and Carcassone they offer an opportunity to wipe out the Greenskin incursion event early if you take Massif Orcal. Otherwise however, they will be a continued source of battles and income as orcs pour out of the mountain towards the player.
