Special buildings

Special buildings and landmarks are unique buildings that can only be constructed in a specific settlement on the campaign map. They are often tied to a specific races or factions, and tend to have unique, beneficial effects.

They are separate from resource extraction buildings, of which many can be created across the map if the correct resource is present.

A settlement which can construct special buildings may be marked with a strategic location symbol.

Mortal Empires campaign

Please note that Mortal Empires also includes all the above special buildings from The Old World.

Compared to Eye of the Vortex, the only landmarks that are missing seem to be Serpent Lairs of Sotek (Quetza), Gate to the Underworld Sea (Clarak Spire) and Glittering Tower Lighthouse (The Glittering Tower) as these settlements are not present in Mortal Empires.
