The Star of Avelorn is an enchanted item introduced in Total War: Warhammer II The Queen and the Crone. It is a legendary item for Alarielle the Radiant.
Description
A diadem of ithilmar with a radiant gem set within, said to be a star plucked from the heavens.
Quest
Part 1
Set in the diadem worn upon the Everqueens brow , the Star of Avelorn is a jewel of immense power. But it has been cursed bu Hellebron - the crone has twisted the will of a once loyal-loyal Handmaiden. The breaking of such trust - a loss keenly felt by Alariel - has affected the the power of the star.
The Everqueen must replace the traitor, and so fortify herself against further attacks and betrayals.
Objective: Recruit a Handmaiden.
Part 2
News of the betrayal against the Everqueen has spread. The Asur are shocked to the core that one so close to Alarielle could turn from her light. Seeds of doubt regarding the Everqueens purity begin to germinate. The Everqueen must reassure all of Ulthuan she has Isha's unconditional love. She holds the power to purge such taint from the lands and minds of all in her presence.
Objective: Maintain atleast 86% untainted in the following region (changes).
Part 3
The cleansing was a success, but if Hellebron or her ruinous allies cannot usurp Ulthuan from within, their rage will come from a more direct route. Norscan puppets attack and raid, desperate to despoil and unmake the peace Alarielle has fostered. These invaders must be shown the wrath of the radiant!
Objective: Win three battles against the following race (Norsca in mortal empires).
Part 4
Hellebron's curse remains upon the Star of Avelorn. The Norse attacks are but a symptom of this malady. A distraction to keep Alarielle occupied rather than trying to repair the damage done by the Handmaiden's treachery. However, the Maiden Guard have found a vile Northman of the Norse raiders, who claim knowledge and the lore needed to break the curse.
Objective:Move any character to the following region (Troll Fjord in mortal empires).
Part 5
The Everqueen's scouts report that attempts to lure her to the Norseman with information of the Stars curse is indeed a trap, for the forces of Chaos muster close by. But Alarielle is not like the Everqueens of the past; she has spent as much of her reign on the battlefield as in her silken pavalion. Alarielle will bring her own war host against the Dark Powers, but it will be the heretics forced into a trap, not her.
Objective: Win Star of Avelorn battle.
