Sunburst Standard of Hexoatl is a common banner introduced in Total War: Warhammer II which provides access to the unique Sunburst Standard of Hexoatl passive item ability to the assigned unit. It grants moderate melee defence and missile resistance to nearby friendly units in a small radius around its wearer and the wearer themselves.
It can only be equipped by the legendary hero Lord Mazdamundi, who leads the Hexoatl faction of the Lizardmen race, and can be obtained by completing the Sunburst Standard of Hexoatl quest triggered automatically once Mazdamundi reaches level 3. In addition, it cannot be stolen. Despite its common rarity, it is a unique banner in the sense that there is only one in the entire game!
This ancillary is equipped by Mazdamundi and then assigned to any unit in the pre-battle menu.
