Sundered Armour is an attack contact effect which provides a temporary major Armour debuff to an enemy unit when hit. It is applied to a whole unit whenever an entity is hit. Attacks imbued with Sundered Armour are said to be sundering attacks.
As a contact effect, it only triggers when the blow is successful and actually lands on enemies. However, as long as the attack is successful, Sundered Armour will always trigger, cannot be negated by resistances of any sort, does not stack and can be constantly refreshed.
An attack contact effect applies to melee attack and/or missile attack so it is possible for a unit to have Sundered Armour on one or both of its damage channels.

Strategy[ | ]
- This ability is great because it reduces the enemy armour overall, meaning your units with low armour piercing can now do more damage against this enemy.
- It can be useful to have one armour sundering unit reduce an enemy's armour while your other units swarm them to finish them off.
