This page is about the faction. For the settlement of the same name, see Southlands Jungle (Mortal Empires) or Shifting Mangrove Coastline (Eye of the Vortex).
Teotiqua was a minor Lizardmen faction introduced in Total War: Warhammer II. It was led by Az'tek and could be found in the eastern Southlands.
Background[ | ]
Teotiqua is a ruined Temple-City in the Southlands according to the lore. The Advisor tells Kroq-Gar that their view of the plan might differ from his, and in extension Lord Mazdamundi's.
Starting territory[ | ]
- Mortal Empires
- Southlands Jungle (both settlements)
Diplomacy[ | ]
- Minor Power
- Cold-blooded Logic
Strategy[ | ]
The only Lizardmen faction to start near Kroq-Gar in Mortal Empires, they can serve as one of the few friendly faces in his campaign. They can be very stubborn with confederating, so it may be worth it to wipe them out instead. Recommend not giving them an alliance and waiting until one of their armies gets smashed to increase confederation chances. If taking their territory is not important to the player, they should serve as your trading partner and ally.
Trivia[ | ]
- They were at launch of Total War: Warhammer II one of two factions created for the Mortal Empires campaign (the other being The Silver Host), and were never part of the Eye of the Vortex campaign.
- The name of the leader, Az'tek, is a reference to the Aztec empire of the real world which the Lizardmen are partly based upon.
- Teotiqua was not reintroduced to the Immortal Empires campaign for Total War: Warhammer III.
