The Daemonspew are a Warriors of Chaos melee infantry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer. The zealousness of the Forsaken is especially great in those reborn in the macabre paradise of the Garden of Nurgle.

Description[edit | edit source]

Forsaken are frothing maniacs that howl and scream as they sprint pell-mell towards the enemy lines, mutated limbs flailing and distended jaws snapping like those of ravenous beasts. Though they were once proud and mighty Chaos Warriors, because of the severe mutations bestowed upon them, they have become something less than human, with no more understanding of battlefield tactics than the hounds that gather around their bone-strewn lairs. Forsaken plunge headlong into battle without discipline or caution. They attack without heed for their own defence, a random mass of mutant appendages snapping in fury as they seek to tear their foes apart. These unfortunates have been reduced to the level of animals, and snarl and growl in a guttural parody of true language. Where they once killed in the name of martial ambition and the glory of the Dark Gods, they now kill because of a savage and unnatural hunger.

Strengths & Weaknesses[edit | edit source]

  • Armoured: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
  • Damage Dealer: This unit has a strong emphasis on dealing damage. If fighting it, make sure to take it out before it can get into firing or melee range.
  • Poison Attacks: The poisonous attacks of this unit weaken the target's speed, damage, and vigour. Applies the Poison! debuff.
  • Frenzy: Units with frenzy cause more damage while their Icon stat morale.pngleadership is high.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Swarm of Flies: Constant -5 Melee Attack in a 30m radius around self.

Flies surround this rotting creature, making combat even harder as the swarm buzzes into mouthes, ears, and other vulnerable orifices.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

These Forsaken have an aura that lowers melee attack around them. As such they are solid shock infantry that can tear through lightly armored infantry. They also do well in the center of a formation, surrounded by tankier or weaker infantry that will benefit from fighting weakened enemies they wouldn't normally be able to beat.
