Vampire Coast Mutineers is a minor Vampire Coast faction introduced in Total War: Warhammer II. It is led by Count Gyula and can be found on the eastern shores of Lustria.
Starting Territory[ | ]
Eye of the Vortex
Mortal Empires
- Vampire Coast (Pox Marsh)
- Northern Great Jungle (Temple of Tlencan)
Diplomatic traits[ | ]
- Aggressive
- Unreliable
- Schemer
Strategy[ | ]
From Luthor Harkon's perspective this faction serves as an early game enemy and should be wiped out accordingly. One could leave them if they trust their garrison defenses to hold and wanted to fully commit to sailing the high seas. Given that Vampire Coast factions are generally hostile to each other (and cannot confederate), there is no sense for any of the other Coast factions to seek treaties with them.
For almost every other faction in Lustria, they are an annoying source of corruption that should be destroyed the second your lands border each other. Their corruption can become particularly bad in a Wulfhart campaign if allowed to stay alive for too long. Lizardmen factions in Lustria should also plan on destroying them, but they will probably come last after the Skaven and the Dark Elves.
Trivia[ | ]
- They are similar to the Crooked Moon Mutinous Gits in that they were also created when the original faction that controlled that territory was made playable. In this faction's case it was when the previous Vampire Coast (a Vampire Counts faction) was turned into the now-playable faction of The Awakened.
- They are the only minor faction of Vampire Coast in Total War: Warhammer II, not counting special armies like Rogue Armies and such. In Total War: Warhammer III they were joined by the Dead Flag Fleet.
