Venom Knights of Asaph (Necropolis Knights) is a Tomb Kings melee cavalry unit in Total War: Warhammer II: Rise of the Tomb Kings. Channelling her ancient, ageless fury, the Asp-Goddess’ chosen riders bite with her deadly venom.

They are one of the Legions of Legend.

Description[edit | edit source]

Knights of Asaph's Temple - Nine was the sacred number of Asaph, Ruler of the Snakes, goddess of vengeance and magic – and nine was the number of knights that guarded her temple. Throughout the ages, Queen Khalida had learned to use her knights to perfection, often having them target the enemy that most threatened her army's massed ranks of archers.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

  • Armour-Piercing: The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
  • Armoured & Shielded: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage. Shields have a chance of blocking arrows, bolts, rifle shots and similar small arms fire - but only in a forward facing arc.
  • Poison Attacks: The poisonous attacks of this unit weaken the target's speed, damage, and vigour. Applies the Poison! debuff.

Simply an all around better unit, the Venom Knights gain more health, speed, melee stats, and charge bonus. They are a much more deadly and efficient combatant than the already efficient killers of the standard version.
