Call of the Beastmen is a Race Pack DLC for Total War: Warhammer, released on 28th July, 2016. It adds the Beastmen as a playable race in both the Grand Campaign and a story campaign An Eye For An Eye. == Content == *New Beastmen Race in the campaign, custom battles and multiplayer. *Two New Playable Legendary Lords: **Khazrak The One Eye. ** Malagor The Dark Omen. *New βAn Eye For An Eyeβ Story Campaign. *Hordes of New Unique Units, Monsters, Heroes, Magic and Game Features. *Beastmen have access to: **Horde campaign style. **Moon-cycle based unique events. **Lore of the Wild magic. **Spread Chaos Corruption. **Beast Paths travel system. **Ambush / Vanguard focused gameplay. **Bestial Rage mechanic which spawns Bray-Herd armies. Added for free, later in Total War: Warhammer *Morghur the Shadowgave legendary lord *Harpies unit Added for free in Total War: Warhammer II *Great Bray-Shaman lord *Complete overhaul of all the Beastmen campaign mechanics, and addition of extensive new features === Content Update === Several months after Call of the Beastmen was released, Beastmen received a free update alongside the Realm of the Wood Elves DLC. This free update added the new legendary lord Morghur the Corruptor as well as the new Harpies unit. == Trivia == === Jabberslyth, Ghorgon and "Charlemagnes" === Two notable Beastmen units that were not included in the DLC were the Jabberslyth and Ghorgon. These were large monster units unique to the Beastmen, which had models in the Warhammer tabletop game. CA's explanation for not including these units was that they would cost too much to model and animate. CA gave the example that the Jabberslyth would have cost as much to create as the entire art budget for the "Age of Charlemagne" DLC for Total War: Attila (a historical Total War game). This gave rise to a meme in the Total War community where "a charlemagne" became a unit of measurement for money, and players would ask how many charlemagnes something cost. The two monster units were finally added in the update The Silence & The Fury. Navbox DLC
