Rearing outwards into the Kraken Sea, the Mountains of Hel are the most northerly region of Norsca. It is the territory most commonly claimed by the Aesling tribe. In character it is hardly any different from The Chaos Wastes which the sea separates it from, a fact felt most keenly at the Monolith of Flesh, a Chaos monolith built from piles of sacrificial flesh that the winds breathed terrible life into, a pillar of mutant tissue that writhes, shivers and mewls from its many mouths.
The corruptive winds do not bother the troll-flesh of Throgg. He has raised his standard here, looking to recruit an army of monsters in both human and non-human form, so that he can take back his frozen throne which lies just to the south east.
