Runes are special items that can only be obtained by File:DW mon 64.pngDwarfs Lords and cannot be used by other races. There are 11 Runes in total. Runes can be equipped onto specific units in the battle preview panel to provide them with various stat bonuses, attributes, and abilities. This is similar to how Banners and Marks of Chaos work.
Runes should not be confused with the rune abilities of the Runesmith and Runelord.
