“ | The Sisters of Slaughter are creatures of instinct, impossible to predict and unfathomably deadly. | „ |
Sisters of Slaughter are a Dark Elves melee infantry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer II with The Queen and the Crone.
Recruitment
- Unlocked with: Halls of Ravaging or Warrior Hall
Description
The Sisters fight as they live, moment to moment, with every gut-spilling swipe and viper-quick slash unplanned until the second it is unleashed. Those who have not seen the Sisters of Slaughter at their quicksilver trade mock their talents, refusing to believe that mere instinct - however finely honed - could replace discipline and training. Such doubts last only until the naysayer witnesses a lone Sister hack her way through a trio of captured Daemons, or sees a handful of gladiatrixes fell a raging Chimera with an attack patter that is as sublimely artistic as it is impossible to predict.
Attributes
- Whip Infantry
- ▲ Defender: This elite unit excels at pinning the enemy down in melee, buying time for the rest of your army to get into position.
- ▲ Dodge: This highly dexterous unit dodges blades and missiles with ease; its luck is known to run out quickly when facing magical weapons, however.
- ▲ Murderous Mastery: Merciless, frenzied agents of slaughter even when unprovoked, this unit takes especially well to Khaine’s murderous blessing.
Strategy
Fully buffed (in the campaign) and with the appropriate Name of Power, this unit is the best frontline DE can offer. While it will never last vs large as much as Blackguard, against Armor Piercing they will hold twice as long compared to them thanks to their Poison and resistances that can reach over 30% Physical Resistance and 15% Ward Save.
Coupled with a Death Hag and a Sorceress (Beasts) you can get them to over 60% Physical Resistance. Just stay away from Magical Attacks because in that case they aren't gonna last any longer than a unit of Bleakswords. Match them with a pair of Witch Elves for a disgusting debuff combo.
