  • Armour-Piercing: The damage of Modifier icon armour piercingarmour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.

The closest thing Beastmen have to heavy cavalry, the Sons of Ghorros are a deadly armour piercing unit. As a Regiment of Renown they have better armour and the guardian ability. For this reason, they are best for pairing with your lord or character. Given that the Beastmen do not have many mobile options outside of Khazrak or Bray-Shaman on chariots, the ability is harder to get value out of. They are somewhat anti-synergy with the low cost aggression of the Beastmen roster, but it is important that they have an option if they want to try and match heavy cavalry. They will probably need a bit of support to eke out a fight against elite tier enemies.
