Swift and energetic, the Skyhawks are never weary of battle, always standing ready to fight to the death if necessary.

The Skyhawks are a High Elves High Elves missile infantry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer II with The Warden and the Paunch, available only to the Yvresse Yvresse faction.

Recruitment[ | ]

Description[ | ]

The Skyhawks are Mistwalkers of Yvresse, tied by tradition to the heirs of Argalen, son of Moranion. When Anaran and Anarelle resolved to defend the Blighted Isle, the Skyhawks were battling creatures of the Annulii on the border between Yvresse and Eataine. Abandoning the fight to the Eataine militias, they marched northwards at incredible speed, reaching the Blighted Isle some hours before Malekith's vanguard. Though weary from their journey, the Skyhawks stood ready to fight beside Argalen's heirs – to the death, if necessary.

Attributes[ | ]

  • Wh2 main def missile infantry bow shades dual weapons Mistwalker Hybrid Infantry
  • Penetrating Projectiles: Projectiles fired by this unit have unusually high penetration for its class and may pass through scores of lesser creatures!
  • Anti-Infantry: Anti-infantry units have an advantage against targets that are smaller than a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against small targets, superior weight used to smash through lighter enemies, or an explosive attack from range that effects a large area.
  • Stalk: This unit can move hidden in any terrain.
  • Weak Against Armour: This unit's attack can hardly punch through armour and is thus wasted on heavily armoured enemies.

Strategy[ | ]

If Spire Guard are your Sea Guard equivalent, these are your Rangers (High Elves). They are extremely effective against lightly armored infantry whether at range or in close combat, and you should try and make sure that this is who they're matched up with. Because they have Stalk, they are also very good as a flanker countermeasure: they are not the unit your enemy's unarmored doggos, birds or assassins are going to want to see materialize in front of them.
