The Worldroots are secret, magical forest routes extending across the world from the Oak of Ages and Athel Loren. In the games, Worldroots serve a similar function to the Underway and Beast-Paths.
A Wood Elves army can enter the Use Worldroots stance to cross the campaign map through the Worldroots. If a Wood Elves army is intercepted / attacked in the Use Worldroots stance, then the battle will be fought on the Worldroots map. The Worldroots battle map is similar to the Beast-Paths battle map and certain Underway maps as it is a long, narrow map with little room to maneuver at the sides.
